The Hamburg-based Internet music radio station ByteFM pursues a unique business model: it is financed exclusively by contributions from its listeners. This guarantees one hundred percent editorial and artistic freedom. The calm documentary uses in-depth interviews (including with ByteFM founder Ruben Jonas Schnell) and observational sequences to explore the question of what exactly happens at the point where passion for music is combined with its communication and what role financial independence plays in this.
