If The Dancer Dances

The film shows the dance company Stephen Petronios, who wants to fill with his dancers the iconic work “RainForest” (1968) by the legendary choreographer Merce Cunningham, which is regarded as untouchable, with new life. Three former members of the Cunningham-Compagnie accompany the troupe in the new production of this magnificent work. They show what it takes to keep dance – and its legacy – alive.
