New Order: Decades

1978 Joy Division appear in Tony Wilson’s TV show “So it goes”. In 2017 New Order refer to this event in a collaboration with artist Liam Gillick and an ensemble of 12 synthesizers – the highlight of the Manchester International Festival in the same year. The film documents the preparations for the performance and the spectacular performance itself. Interviews with band members and companions round off the impression of a highly reflective music collective.
